WAYNE CHRISTIAN MAY SEEK FORMER HOUSE SEAT
Recruitment underway for Republican social conservative
Former state representative for House District 9 Wayne Christian is considering a return to his old stomping grounds.
Christian has confirmed to QR he’s being recruited to make another run at the seat, currently held by state Rep. Roy Blake Jr. (R-Nacogdoches).
Christian said he hasn’t committed to running and he hasn’t made a decision yet. However, the folks recruiting received his blessing to conduct polling on the possibilities.
A four-term House veteran, Christian established a conservative voting record during his tenure. Last year, Christian left the House for a Congressional bid. He placed third in a six-candidate GOP primary for Congressional District 1. Republican Louis Gohmert went on to win the general election.
Rep. Blake voted with Rep. Carter Casteel and the many other's against vouchers, and make no mistake about it that is why he is being targeted.
