Governor Appoints Evacuation Task Force

Have you seen who Perry put on the Evacuation Task Force. Well the valley isn't happy, Governor'’s evacuation task force omits Valley. No one from the valley on it but boy the corporations, especially the energy and oil sectors, are well represented:
WHO'’S WHO ON THE TAS KFORCE ON EVACUATION TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS

Jack Little, Houston, former president and chief executive officer of Shell Oil Co.

Gordon Bethune, Houston, former chairman and chief executive officer of Continental Airlines

Theron Bowman, Arlington, police chief

Bill King, Kemah, former mayor

Bill Klesse, San Antonio, executive vice president and chief operations officer of Valero Energy

Carol Lewis, Houston, associate professor in transportation studies and director of the Center for Transportation Training and Research at Texas Southern University

Erle Nye, Dallas, former chairman and chief executive officer of TXU Corp., member of Texas A&M University System Board of Regents

Jerry Patterson, Austin, Texas Land Commissioner

David Saperstein, Houston, chief executive officer of Five S CapitalThere are 11 positions and it would seem like

Karen Sexton, Galveston, vice president and chief executive officer for hospitals and clinics at University of Texas Medical Branch

Mike Trevino, Houston, general manager of public and governmental affairs for Marathon Oil
Now they have a valid compliant. Surely the governor could have put someone on this task force that is down the coast from Galveston/Houston. Here's how the governor put it:
"“This task force brings together some of the best and brightest minds in transportation, energy, academia and government who will help all levels of government learn from the experiences of Rita and establish better evacuation plans for future emergencies," Perry said.
Just a plain old citizen like your and me would have been nice too.
